At Taparu, we are committed to delivering high-quality, eco-friendly products. This policy outlines your rights and our responsibilities regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations.

This policy operates in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law(ACL).

  1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement or refund if products:

  • Are defective
  • Are not as described
  • Are not fit for their intended purpose

You may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

  1. Change of Mind Returns

We offer a limited change of mind return policy:

  • Returns must be requested within 3 days of delivery
  • Goods must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging
  • Proof of purchase is required

⚠️ Important: Due to hygiene and food-contact safety standards, Taparu reserves the right to refuse change-of-mind returns for opened or handled products.

  1. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless faulty:

  • Opened or used products
  • Bulk orders that have been partially used
  • Custom or special production orders
  • Products affected by improper storage after delivery
  1. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide photos and order details

We will assess and, if approved:

  • Replace the product, or
  • Issue a full refund

No return shipping cost will be charged in these cases.

  1. Refund Process
  • Refunds are processed within 7–14 business days after approval
  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method
  • For approved returns, refunds may exclude original shipping costs (unless required under ACL)
  1. Return Shipping
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns
  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service
  • Taparu is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit

  1. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled before dispatch only.

Once an order has been shipped, it will be subject to our return policy.

  1. Bulk & Business Orders (B2B)

For wholesale, restaurant, and bulk buyers:

  • Returns are generally not accepted unless goods are faulty
  • Please ensure order accuracy before confirming large purchases
  • Sample orders are recommended prior to bulk buying

Gifts

If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the Order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, we will send the refund to the gift giver.
